How does Swap.bz work?

Pick a pair, get a live quote, send to a one-time deposit, receive in your wallet. No account. Standard is 0.5%; Private is 1% if you want extra hops. The quote is what you agree to before you send. THORChain is 1% with no KYC, no AML and nobody able to freeze the swap.

How long does an exchange take?

Timing depends on network confirmations. Fast-chain routes may finish in minutes. Bitcoin and Monero pairs take longer (often 20–40 minutes). Private swaps typically take 15–45 minutes.

What are the fees?

Standard swaps: 0.5% service fee. Private swaps: 1% service fee. Network (miner) fees are separate and depend on the blockchain. THORChain route: 1%, fully on-chain.

Is KYC required?

No, we do not require identity verification to create a quote. You can swap without an account. Liquidity providers (NEAR Intents, Exolix, Houdini for Private) apply automatic AML checks. Sanctioned or high-risk addresses may be declined. Want no screening at all? Choose the THORChain route: a decentralised protocol with no company in the middle.

What if my transaction fails?

If payout cannot complete, funds are typically refunded to the refund address you entered — same asset and network as the deposit, minus network fees. Timing depends on the chain and the liquidity partner; it is not a fixed 24-hour guarantee. Keep the order ID and see Status.

What is Private Swap?

Private Swap is an optional mode that routes your exchange through multiple hops (often including a Monero/XMR privacy layer) to break the on-chain link between your deposit wallet and your receive wallet. It costs 1% (vs 0.5% Standard), usually takes 15–45 minutes, and is best when you prioritize unlinkability over speed. Select Private in the swap widget before confirming.

What is the THORChain route?

THORChain is a decentralised cross-chain protocol: your deposit is swapped directly by on-chain liquidity pools — no company in the middle, no AML screening, nobody who can freeze or seize it. 1% fee, typically 10–30 minutes, native L1 assets (BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, XRP, stables). Two things to know: your transaction must carry a short memo (use a wallet that supports it, e.g. Sparrow or Trezor Suite), and refunds go back to the sending address automatically — so never send from an exchange.
